We are HELLMAD. We are an unconventional non-mainstream brand. We might be heading in the wrong direction …or we might be not. In today’s world we are renegades by nature …however still hypocrites. The sound of a strong engine is like music to our ears and our motorbikes must always be clean. Not so long ago we considered Facebook & Instagram to be intruding but not anymore and we actually use both. 20 years in Multinational Corporation has taught us that there is not much serenity and peacefulness in our lives today. Ever present stress and the pressure to deliver only result in more stress and more and more pressure. We are exhausted, impassive even ill and we finish up feeling completely useless. We’ve swapped our well air-coned offices and guaranteed income for freedom and open-mindedness. Understandably our families are not necessarily as happy as we are. Feeling safe is important:). But what can possibly feel better than waking up with a dream and knowing you have the power to make it happen. In our dreams we can be anything ….designers, dress-makers, butchers, bikers, medicine men… and whatever the actual outcome of our dreams and ideas you can explore it on our website. Just stay with us.
ABOUT HELLMAD BRAND
...you are probably asking why HELLMAD? The idea first came to life as we were driving to collect our mobile home beauty in eastern Bohemia. And because we are just as playful as bear cubs, seals or dolphins we had been “playing” with an idea of a special keyring for bikers. We already had an idea of what we wanted it to look like and we were searching for the right name. Our playful nature (not only when it comes to words:)) did lead us to the word HELMET – protection and from there it has only been one step to HELLMAD which is pretty self-explanatory. This play-on-words is the perfect brand name as it has also been….and sometimes still is the best description of our lives at times. And long before the first ever HELLMAD keyring was made the HELLMAD became our brand and motto and we quickly realized that it represents our attitude to life really well.
The world around us really is hell-mad at times. HELLMAD aims to reflect not only the good and grand but with great irony it also points out today's hypocrisy and meanness. All of this with a big genuine smile because if you are stuck on a boat in the middle of the ocean during the worst of storms the best option may well be to laugh it off …..especially so if the boat is leaking.
WHERE ARE WE GOING?
...where the roads take us...
We believe that whenever we get to a crossroad and start thinking where to go next we need to understand our values. Our starting point was our desire to create values. We want to come up with ideas; things, actions that represent real values. Not value in terms of money but the values that come from within deep inside us. And out of all of this the first HELLMAD key-ring was born. It started with lots of prototypes and shoes cut into pieces and fingers bleeding form the pricker. Then we found a proper and experienced shoe maker. The result is a key-ring that you always want to have in your pocket, you want to touch it and you want it to grow old with you. Very often we do escape to the nature. Not only is nature our inspiration but it also relaxes us and makes us feel humble in equal measures. We simply admire it. Back in “the real world” the money driven reality hits. How to stay sane, how not to become totally indifferent? Our answer is to keep going and exploring HELLMAD. The next step is clothing. We do use textile, particular language and pictures to further develop what HELLMAD stands for.

Only when you set off and hit the road, once you’ve taken the first steps you suddenly realize that to overcome the obstacles is much more difficult in real life than it ever has been in your dreams. We are facing one of these obstacles at a moment. We really want to give a proper make-over to a beautiful old barn and turn it into a serene welcoming place where we can all meet and laugh together.
